Calling Parents of Children Years 8-12!
Our organisation works with local schools, industries and parents, in the Hills and Hornsby area, in supporting the transition to work or further studies for students.
As a federally funded, not for profit organisation, we are required to consult with all stakeholders who have a vested interest in the service we offer to students from 13-19 years of age. We organise this feedback through Members Forums which typically occur 4 times a year from 7.30 - 9.00 am at Castle Hill.
At these meetings members are able to review the work completed and comment on the forthcoming events. This year is particularly busy as we are looking to renew our contract with DEEWR (Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations) by the end of the year.
If you are interested in finding out more about our organisation and joining our Members Forum as a Parent Representative please contact Caroline on 9639 7999 or email caroline@HillsSIP.com.au. You can also find out more about our work on our website www.HillsSIP.com.au.
St Leo's Luncheon
At the recent Hornsby Chamber Luncheon, under the banner of Hills Schools Industry Partnership's Adopt a School Program, the catering was passed into the capable hands of the Year 12 Hospitality students from St Leo's College, Wahroonga.
These students were given the opportunity to brainstorm the menu selections, prepare and cook for the function. Students practiced at school and then the day before the luncheon, Rob (Simply Functional Catering) held a MasterChef style cook-off for his team of aspiring chefs to challenge their creativity and their readiness for the big day.
